COMPANY:
Flexxbotics
ABOUT:
Collaborative robots have opened the door to automate more intermittent manufacturing jobs. These low volume, high mix manufacturing jobs require significantly more changeover—and the high degree of these changeovers and the complexity required to execute each changeover limits robot utilization. The lower robot utilization leads to longer payback periods and less overall investment in new automation. Flexx Connect is a hardware and software robotic platform aimed at providing robot productivity tools, holistic robotic work cell data analyzation and simplified digital robot work flows to help manufacturers with job changeover. The platform uniquely pairs, configures, and extracts information from robotic work cells by way of patented Bluetooth mesh robot communication.
